3. Moe: Hey, did you hear a bell?
Larry: What?
Moe: I said, “Did you hear a bell?”
Larry: What’d you say?
Moe: The bell! The bell!
Larry: I can’t hear you on account of the bell.

Does this short ring a bell with you? Name that short.

4. Both of these tin signs may be an easy score. If you can make it past the green, set a record for most divots, shake the trees, shine up in the ball washer and gain access to the clubhouse, you’ll be turning bogies into boidies! Name that short.

And the answers are:

1. Not from any short. Dewey, Cheatem & Howe was a PR promotion. While long a part of Stooge lore, these attorneys at law are truly fictitious, at least in the world of The Three Stooges and their films. The famous poster with Larry, Moe and Curley as Dewey, Cheatem & Howe was created only as a publicity item as The Boys never portrayed these characters. Also, there is no office door in any short with the Dewey, Cheatem and Howe moniker. The closest reference was the character I. Cheatham in the 1945 short Three Pests In A Mess.

2. The Knuckleheads garage tin sign was taken from Three Little Beers. (This is such a popular Three Stooges tin sign that Jay Leno actually has one hanging in his garage.)

3. The tin sign featuring The Boys atop a fire engine, “When Disaster Strikes” was taken from False Alarms.

4. Both the tin signs, “It’s gonna take a lot of balls” and “bogies into boidies” were taken from Three Little Beers.
